Residency through investment
Economic Solvency Visa
A residency program based on your own capital, with no need for an employment relationship or an operating company: the investment can be placed in real estate, in a fixed-term deposit certificate, or split between the two.
What it involves
What this category is
Residency is granted based on an own-capital investment of at least US$300,000, without requiring an employment contract or business activity in Panama.
A two-year temporary residency is granted first and, once that period is complete, permanent residency may be requested.
Who it is for
- People with their own capital who do not wish to depend on local employment.
- Buyers of homes or investment real estate in Panama.
- Those who prefer to keep their capital in a fixed-term bank deposit.
- Families adding dependents to the same file.

How we work
The process, stage by stage
Structuring the investment
We define the mix of real estate and deposit that meets the minimum and fits your plans.
Completion and certifications
The investment is executed and the corresponding title deed or bank certification is obtained.
Temporary residency
The application is filed and two-year temporary residency is obtained.
Permanent residency
Once the period is complete, permanent residency is requested with updated documents.
Additional considerations
- If the property is worth more than US$300,000, the amount above that minimum may be financed.
- The fixed-term deposit must remain free of liens throughout its term.
